Yeah, I've been kindda thinking the same thing. Every single NPC on the street responding to me as I'm walking by is really starting to get on my nerves.

I made a mod for that already, heh. I got sick of being told "You talk too much outlander", when I didn't say a BLOODY THING!

Anyways, I ahven't made a site yet, but you can email me for it. joshp@ehmail.com
It also fixes a glitch with a certain barbarian not STFU when you pick up a certain cloudcleaver weapon.

I've wondered what the "rules" are on this. It seems like if you're running past everyone, they all want to say something, yet others that you want to talk to won't even turn in your direction until you've stood there for several seconds. Even when you stand right in front of them, they may try to walk around you.

I mentioned in another post that it would be nice to only have them greet you only when you actually strike up a conversation (by hitting the space bar). Does anyone know if this is possible or does the ability to have them speak end at that point?

What gets me is going into a room with two or more people standing by the door and getting the same greeting in stereo.

In case anyone was interested in doing this themselves, just change the global var iGreetDistance to something lower then 7. I have it at 3, and they talk to me maybe 1/10th of the time when I bumb directly into them. Otherwise, blessed silence
