NWN graphics. Where? Xen? |
|
I'm trying to find the little .bmp or .jpg or whatever graphic extension Bioware used to use in the NWN pages I'm putting together for RPGDot. But I can find nothing in the NWN folders on my hard-drive.
Can anyone help me here? _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Are you talking about the in game graphics or the in game movie stills or the portraits?
THe graphics are texture maps for the engine. They wouldn't do you any good without the 3d framework they get mapped to.
The movies are stored in the movie folder and some third party software players can open them.
The portraits are probably nestled somewhere in one of the main compressed data files that the game reads. I'd have to check on that one... _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I think you answered my question.
I was hoping to use npc portraits and pix of items to accent the pages I'm doing for nwn.rpgdot.com. But I guess the only way I'll be able to do it is to use screenshots...which I'm lousy at.
Thanks though. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Well, that saves me from having to hack the game data files to look for an answer. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

A good arch-villain knows when to let his minions do his work... he just finds a way to take credit for it...

@Val: The link you provided had .tga files. I cannot seem to find a program to open them. Help?
[EDIT]
Typed too fast... they are Photoshop files, I think. Which means reinstalling a program I use 4 times a year and then changing each file to a usable web format like jpeg or gif. UHG!

I think ACDSee should be able to open this files and to convert them to something like .jpg or .gif. |

ACDSee? Gimp?
Did I mention that I was graphically-challenged? I even had to ask Myrthos to get my avatar set up properly. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

I loathe Gimp.
I'll do the conversions to JPG for you. No problem. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
