Is Silvestro supposed to be dead?? Ch2

I have walked through the good-old Gothic I map for hours but I still cannot complete the quest. I have found Mecurius and the other one but Silvestro is dead. Am I supposed to also find Diego? And if yes, where is he???? Help me before I smash my monitor!!!

Yes Sylvestro is dead. He has a note on his body so loot him for that. And then exit the mine and turn right down the path, follow it to a small opening to find Diego.

The mine is near Xarda's old tower at the base of the mountain. it has a wooden fence you can't miss it. Watch out in the mine its full of minecrawlers. And its pretty dark.
