PLEASE HELP!
I've read the FAQ n some others topic relating to similar problem but i still can't figure out wat's happening!
When i Double-click on the shortcut (even by the programs list or the Autorun) The "Gothic II Loading please wait" appears n a small windows with this writing in appears too "Please wait while initializing and configuring the Virtual Disk File System. Depending on your system this may take up to some minutes"
but the screen just load n load up again, ( i mean, the loading bar fill up n return to the begining)
After a minutes or so, this screen disappers n the "Loading please wait" stay here for about 20sec n desappers too!
i got no Error or anyting, the game just close like that! please help!!! |

Try checking to see how much disk space yo have left... there may not be enough to run the game... _________________ Inhale Life, Exhale Pain

my game don't load neither |
|
I have the same problem, and also had some difficulties with the install. Eventually, I just walked away and left it not responding for a while, and it loaded. Since I don't want to wait half an hour every time I load, I am also searching for a solution. My game is also on D:, in my case since C: is fullish (900megs free; 26 gigs on d:).
Any more ideas? |

Generally, its not the fault of the game,
It's more about, is your computer set up properly, many people say there p.c's are "big", "powerfull" "the latest style" etc'
On the game cd is a minimum spec list, many people ignore this,
Not only have the latest video drivers, (unless you have old vid' card) to be loaded but the latest or even "specific" motherboard chipset drivers loaded.
Sometimes a bios upgrade must also be performed.
Memory configuration must be stable (fast settings can cause many problems)
Hard drives and cd/dvd-roms must have dma's enabled. Dissable all "tsr's"
programs running in the background, virus checkers, loaders, screensavers, etc', even if it means removing some "troublesome" programs. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |
