Theatre of Tragedy - Velvet Darkness They Fear

I actually sorta stumbled into this band, and Im sure glad I did. An excerpt of Vincent Price from the Masque of the Red Death is layered in with drums and all that on "and when he falleth..", and its one of the heaviest things ive ever heard!

A somewhat lo-fi version of Tristania's early stuff

Hey xSamhainx: This is such a great thread!!! It is helping me with my musical education.

Tea Leaf Green (3-11-05) Mystic Theater - Petaluma, Ca.
TLG is a solid SanFran jam band.

Holy cow. Someone introduced me to Pandora a coulpe of days back, and it in turn has introduced me to more brilliant new bands and acts than I can eat. Right now, I'm listening to Bastro, of whom I had previously never heard, performing a live track that sounds like it could be an instrumental by Helmet at their noisiest and most energetic, with a little bit of jazz thrown in.

But my aural highlight of the day was The Schoolyard Heroes, who are similarly new to me, and might be fairly new to the world judging by the lack of information on allmusic.com. I've heard 6 tracks from their two albums, all unfailingly excellent. (rock/metal with a b-movie horror theme, high-pitched punky female vocalist, occasional growly male vocalist, dark humour)

Other than music fed to me by a computer, I've been enjoying the brilliant, original, unusual and brilliant Dresden Dolls.
