I've read that there is a quest involving Canthar and Sarah,triggered by Canthar talking to you in Khorinis.The only speech option I get with Canthar is "show me your wares",so no Quest.
Is this because I did not get his pass into Khorinis early on or am I missing something here? |

yer think you have to take his pass to owe him a favor .. but dont worry you can allways do that next time you play the game

How far are you in the game? I got the quest once sometime after entering the city. You might try wandering around at night - Canthar may just "bump" into you. On the other hand, I wouldn't be too upset if I didn't get this quest - it's kind of a big pain.

You can get it in two ways:
- When you first meet him near Lobart's farm, accept the city pass.
- Don't ask him about the pass, or say that you aren't interesting and speak to him in the city when he is sitting on the bench near the marketplace.

Tried talking to him on the bench but I only get two options,"show me your wares" and "I have to go".No other options available and he doesn't give any other option either. |

Maybe you have worn the worker clothes from Lobart when you have talking to Canthar at Lobarts farm.
You shouldn´t wear clothes when you want to get this Quest with Sarah (or accept the pass like Sem said).

you can only get the canthar/sarah q is if you are dressed in you raggs when you meat him.He will offer you a pass to get into the city in exchation for a littel favor.In the city you meet him and he gives you a q to kick sarah of his stal.To do so you must sell sarah list that he gives you as a framing stuff.If you do evrything is ok.But if you dont and tell lord andre about he trying to frame sarah he gets into the jail but gets relesed in the 2nd ch. he tells all the merchants in the market that your a cnovict and none of the merchants wants to sell you stuff unless you pay him 500gp.
