Well I have to admit that nVIDA's new card's better than the Ati's card.But you should rember had happened 2 years ago with nVIDA.

Last generation, nVidia were to smart and ambitious with their FX series, which had a lot of technology that was never used. ATI made cards that used all the features in DirectX9 instead, and that gave them a really big advantage in Direct3D games, But this generation, nVidia has made some excellent brand new cards, while the X800 is more of an improved 9800 than a brand new design.

Well as I can see from the votes most people prefers the Ati cards.
Also Ati isn't adverised so much as nVIDIA does.

What? more people have voted for nVidia than ATi, and although IO voted for ATi, since the question was which one I preferred, but I still think nVidia is a little, little better in this generation.

I have an ASUS Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB, perfect for me. But at firs it was very unstable, seems like this was the problem for many 9800 Pros, but the solution was raising AGP voltage to 1.7V.

I've looked at tons of reviews and all that, and read the hype from both ends, and know what card has this flux capsitor or that disgrontifier solenoid. It all doesnt mean squat when it comes down to the main factor, purrsonal experience with one's own computer setup.

I was with ATi for a while, then back to Nvidia, then back to ATi, and I have to say that when it comes to performance, ATi is surely better. I changed cards halfway thru several games, and the ATi 9800 was noticeably better in framerates and appearance than the Nvidia 4600. Now that's even with stubborn Nvidia drivers bits and pieces or whatever else was making the pc cranky. Now on a fresh reformat, the ATi 9800 blazes even faster and better than the GeForce card ever did. My mind's made up ='.'=

I could be wrong but isnt comparing a nVidia 4600 to a Radeon 9800 a little unbalanced?

You're right, the 9800 cards shoud be compared to the FX5900 cards.

listen, the new Ati Radon 9800 Pro All-in-wonder CAN be compared to the nVidia GeForse FX5900 but in costs 100-150 euros more not to wention that the Ati is "All-in-one" (which means players for DVD, Audio CD, VCD, TV transmiter, video editing software, Video IN, Video OUT, LCA, VHS and many more... the damn thing evenhas a sound card attatched to it

ATI seem to be improving their OpenGL support. I got a considerable increase in performance in my 3D CAD program with the Doom 3 ATI Beta drivers.

But they are still pretty buggy which sucks.

@ATI
Sort out your OpenGL drivers or I am definately buying nVidia next time!
