Can't use my weapons...
   

I have a major problem when playing Gothic. I can use Axes, swords and the such but when I try to use a bow, by hitting the space key my figure just doesnt take the sword in his hands in order to prepare for shooting. Yes I have enough strength etc. and tried EVERYTHING, only few times I could use bows. The same goes for magic... Is that a bug? Any of you had the same problem maybe? I can't continue to play this game without being able to use a bow or magic.

Weapons and spells have to be selected in the inventory. Remember the assigned number and press it (of course with closed inventory) to ready the weapon or spell. Bows/crossbows require arrows/bolts and magic requires mana + scroll or mana + rune + correct magic circle.

'Space' activates the last used weapon. '3' the last used spell.
