You can either take over George's old house or buy one in Verdistis.
As for Tingalf, he'll spill the beans about the smugglers in the sewers. Go down and kill the smugglers. They'll drop a note that will serve as evidence.

The person who gives you that note does not live in Verdistis. She was exiled. You'll find her in the poor quarter of Rivertown. If you help her, then she will vouch for you.

Wierd..I have been down there and I found no smugglers, only lizards and other creatures. But I'll check again when I get it to work |

You forgot to mention that I needed to toggle it 
But now I found a bug..the cave South of the Dark Cave, think it's the one with a Lich in it (had to start the game over again  ) I cannot enter it. Is there some way to fix this? |

I'm trying to get in the cave to kill the monster, and if I remember it was a valuable item in there too. But when I try to press it my character won't enter it, just running around from all sides. |

Odd, have you tried hitting TAB to highlight the entrance?
Do you have a screenshot of the cave you're trying to enter?

Hitting TAB highlights the area you have to click on to "use" something, like a door or the entrance of a cave.

Hmm..nothings happend. The nearest thing I can use is the Alt key, but that only hihglight useable objekts, like doors, chests or items, but not cave-entrances. I recall there was an item in the cave, but do I need to have done something in the cave to finish a certain quest? (You know witch cave I'm talking about?) |

D'oh, that's right, you have to use the Alt key. You should be able to highlight the entrance somehow. I suspect this is the cave south of the marketplace, correct? Do you have a screen shot of this cave?
