SWG: A way to become jedi without holocons

Ok, this hassent been proven but it is a strong posibility. Did any of you ever get enuf xp for a skill, and the moment the sistem gives u a message that u cna learn it u hear thunder and a 2 second music skit? I have been getting there in my artisiona skills uinder Engineering sisnce the day after i started. I know thet thunder means and leads to something, because when i went wepionsmith it stoped, but when i became an armorsmith, the moment i got enuf xp i heard that thunder bolt. I am still hearing it up the armorsmith tree, but not up my rifleman tree. I strongly belive that there is a connection to the force with this. It hassent been proven but, I am working on it. Thnak you for your time, and i hope this helps anyone liiking to open their Force Sensitive Slot.

P.S. If you read this please do not post this on the forms at station.com. As far as i know 65% are just complaining about how to become a jedi, and i realy dont want to give this information to them. Thank you agean for reading this, I hope it helps.

You know, I always wondered about that. I used to get it all the time, but then it stopped only for certain skills though. Also, did you ever hear a flute kind of music whenever you learned the skill? Its not the usual, like the best way I can describe it is its this kind of long DON! DOOOOON! and then a kind of hum. But the flute kind of music is a fast paced. dundundundun....dun daaaanaa dundundundun. I know it sounds wierd lol, but that what I hear whenever I learn an entertainer skill. I want to try and find a holocron to confirm this; however, I think you are right. I think they changed that music when the patch came out that included holocrons as extra "tips" towards unlocking an FSCS. I have heard stories where after you master the required jobs, they didn't get it right away, but just played for a while longer then unlocked it somehow, so I want to try it before I master too much, just in case that this is true. I just want to try jedi because I think it might be fun, if it blows, then I am just going to try and trade my lightsabre to my other character on that server and then display it in my house.

Jack Sisco, there are quite a few threads at the official Jedi forums about musical clues (including the thunder theory). We don't have to "hide" the theory from the Station folks .
I think I remember reading in one of these threads that some people paid attention to the sounds when learning skills in professions their holocron told them to master and it seems like everyone agrees now that there simply are no sound clues. The thunder might be totally random. Since the credibility of people at the Jedi forums should overall be regarded as low, I wouldn't really call the thunder theory debunked yet though (maybe those who "tested" it did not pay attention at every skill box they learned or they lied about not hearing thunder when learning a skill). Sure still worth testing so let us know what happens when you learn holocron skills (I'll do the same once I start Rifleman as my holo told me to ).

And Kabol... combat skill boxes mostly seem to get the "darker" music whereas artisan/entertainer skill boxes have the "light" (flute) music. The type of music does not seem to include any hints as to whether you are on the correct path or not. As opposed to the thunder theory (which might still have some value), the musical clue theory is 100% void in relation to the FS slot. Don't waste time chasing the flute .

Well Moriendor, I would agree with you, but there is one problem. My brother hears the flute music for medic, whereas I do not. It's still not the dark music, but it is still different. Hence I will still have to test this, perhaps there is something more to it than we all think.

well I've ruled out 13 professions and ruled in 2 of the professions i need to master according to my theory. So the odds are good that i might come out with 5 professions. Oh and and i'm about a day awway from comferming that the sound does follow a pattern, i had the sound when getting engineering, and now i'm getting it in the Armorsmith class. so i'm quiet positive that it isnt random.

Find holocrons and complete what they tell you to and log a bunch of hours in the game by all reports. However, they're changing the requirements soon... it's now too easy to be a Jedi and they don't want that at all.

I say just take the Jedi out of the game but I've been saying that since the beginning.

There is a proven method to getting jedi w/o holocrons:
Grind out all 32 professions, heh.
No joke. If you're lucky enough to have 4 holos speak to you then you only have 28 to go. But yea basically its just grind out everything.
As for that music and thunder, that happens after you get enough xp in any box. If you unlock there will be a light show and a much longer music gets played, music that u only hear when unlocking. Belive u me after doing 20 professions, I gave up on hoping to hear that music and decided to go bck to having fun.

btw doing 4 holocrons is not all there is to it. Your path is silent after the 4th one (max) from there its grind city for you.

I want to play city of heroes... I know it's probably the same old, same old level grind 'thugs instead of goblins' routine for character development.... but to be a superhero would be a blast.

I was trying to hold out to Jump to Lightspeed, but I'm cancelling at the end of this month I think. I don't play anymore and I'd rather take my money and try other games I might like.
