4 to 2 weeks before the release of the full game. That's all we know at the moment.

Who cares?

I played the German G2 demo as soon as it came out, and I intend to do the same with the G3 demo when it is released. When the G2 demo came out, someone(I can't recall who) around here translated the whole thing into English(subtitles that is), so we could all understand what we were doing, hehe.

haha this is jowood were talking about thats like Georege Bush saying "will try not to police the world and solve everything with automatic weapons"

A demo would be nice specially releasing a german / english at the same time and just have an early part of the game few hours to play around.

But even if they just released a Gothic 3 german demo i'd be happy of course i wouldnt play it cause cant understand but i'd like to see how it runs.

Just as long as the english version comes out shortly after the german release like they said

We know just at much as you do: 2006

As soon as there's more news about the release date or the demo, you'll hear it here on RPGDot first.

Heh, that reminds me of G1's demo. It was ~250-300 MB and had just a very small part of the world. The trading post, the trail down, and a small, small area outside the Old Camp was the limit (of course, the Old Camp was included too). And I had a dialup... downloading all that... heh.

An annoying thing about Gothic demos.. A huge size considering the time you need to see every inch in it.

Yeah, one of the things RPGDot got a lot of downloaders for. (it wasn't what made me a member, but I enjoyed that)

I played G1 demo too, but it was in the Old Mine, not Old Camp.

No, my friend it started at the old mine with Diego and could walk around in the old camp when you followed your way down. The other camps, the woods and the Mine from the Old Camp (is not the old mine) were off limits.
