Just a quick question on something I've been wondering about...
Is there any reason to buy silver or steel arrows or bolts over something of an inferior material type like chitin? Since the damage seems to be set by the bow or crossbow it seems like the cheaper version would always be better. Unless there are monsters out there that can only be hit by certain kinds of arrows. |

I'd like to know to.
I think the better material might improve your accuracy though... still not sure! |

I'd like to know as well, although I have heard rumors that certain monsters can only be harmed by silver weapons... |

I know that ghosts can only be hit with silver or better weapons. From Daggerfall experience, the more powerful and magical the enemy, the better a weapon you need. I believe they also hit for more damage, on top of the bow's damage. |

My own experience would agree with that. Chitin arrows take three or four hits on average to take down a Cliff Racer for my character, and Silvers only take two, rarely three.
I just go by price. If they cost more, they probably do more damage. And I have successfully used Silver Arrows on Ancestral Ghosts and Bonelords, where I think Iron/Chitin would fail. |

That may be true...but I wish there were some type of note on the pop up menu of the arrow itself. This is a question I've had for some time, but I, too figured that if it costs more, it must be better.. _________________ Member of the "Fantastic ONE"
