Another view on NPCs
   

It has been oft-stated that NPCs are too generic in Morrowind.

As I was playing the other day it occurred to me... with all of the quests in morrowind most of them are actually involved in some way.

Maybe morrowind is more like the real world... there are lots of people but you will only get to know a few of them based upon which path you choose to take.

It's an interesting idea... and I have not viewed all of the dialogue for every NPC so I can't confirm.
