Thanks for the link!

Oh and yes I did manage to figure out how to use the command - and WOW! But it still drags down my system and it doesn't seem to stick. So I set the fog a bit closer, and when I use that command I can see just about the same as normal max distance just without he weird glitches - well most of them anyway.

I wish someone would write a comprehenisve tweak guide detailing the settings in the .ini. Hell I'd pay someone to if I had the money -

Your PC is not ideal for the Gothics. They -generally speaking- prefer nVidia over Ati and they like a lot of RAM. 512 MB is pretty low for a WinXP system.
The fame rate is locked at 23 fps. If you have clearly more than 1 GHz you should unlock it.

Uh...

How exactly do I set the framerates higher?

So Gothic doesn't like ATI... Well that sucks considering my card and current system would blow away any Pentium 2 gig system with a 5000 series Nvidia Geforce without breaking a sweat. To give you an idea of how much my system freakin rules I can now play Morrowind with no frame-rate loss even during battles - all details settings at high, n-patches, all video card detail settings at high, and of course the pixel shaded water, max AI distance and max view distance using FPS Optomizer. I went to Balmora the other day and nothing even slowed down.

That's what only 512 megs of ram, a Powercolor Radeon 9600XT video card, and an AMD 1.2 gig processor running even on a crappy OS like Windows XP can get you - or at least me.

Sorry about the rant, but I'm now an ATI fan, and have always been a fan of AMD. I can't wait to see what happens if I get a 2 gig AMD processor (2 gig actual running speed - so 2.6 gig or something like that)! I'll look into a RAM upgrade too - but I heard there's a limit to what Windows XP can handle.
