Gothic 3: Interview with Kai Rosenkranz of the Piranha Bytes |
|
The World of Gothic crew has cleverly caught Piranha Bytes off their guard during the holiday season and made it into the Piranha house where they managed to get a few words out of KaiRo. The article, without a doubt, revolves around the third Gothic installment and various rumors that had been circulating regarding some of it's aspects in the past months.

Up to now, each gothic part had his own characteristics but there was still a common look-and-feel. Part III contains again a couple of completely new elements. I cannot follow the criticism concerning Gothic II in this point. Nevertheless, each game had new influences while the previous elements didn't loose their right to exist. But I assume that Gothic III will have a feeling similar to the one of Gothic I.

One can also find an unseen artwork towards the end, showing a northern soldier in full gear. Do not spare another moment and head over to this page for full interview and some footage of the Piranha at work.

Terribly useless interview. PB isn't saying anything yet, but that doesn't stop the interviewer from saying nothing over and over. Pfffft. |

I don't think the interview was useless at all. At this point any new tidbits we can get about G3 excite me. Also its good to have old information re-confirmed by the devs so you know they have not changed their plans. Anyway 2 definite new things:
1. Hoge says the physicis system will not be as integral to gameplay as it was in HL2. However, it will have an impact in archercy.
2. The english version is defintiley coming out very close to the German version
I'd like to add that I think World Of Gothic is doing a GREAT job with the English side of the site. They are getting the German newsbits translated quickly (and quite well I might add) and the layout and responsivness of the site in general is surperb. _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

PB has nothing to do anymore with NotR, they probably don't know anything about what's going on either.
About the interview, a lot of hints to keep us warm and a very nice artwork. What else do you want? _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."
