I'm gonna guess that they do get it out by November. Bethsoft is pretty good at giving ETAs considering that only a year after they released Daggerfall they gave release date for Morrowind as mid 2002 and lo and behold it came out damn near the beginning of the 2nd quarter of 2002. Plus I would assume they'd like to get it out there for all those holiday shoppers

Huh, I thought MW was originally scheduled for a 1999 release.

I know for sure that they were wanting to get it out as a launch title for the XBOX, meaning it would have come out November last year.

I hope Bethesda will take the time to consider making combat more interesting and difficult than it is. Something like Blade of Darkness or Gothic would be marvelous, if they could manage it, but that might be too big of an overhaul to the system.

I doubt they could change the combat engine much by now. All they could do is make the mobs harder to kill, that's pretty much it... Anyway according to the press release there's nothing about changing anything about combat or conversation, unless I missed something.

Like Ekim, I don't think they'll change the "mechanics" like combat or the the dialogue system.

30 hours would be fine by me but I do hope they spend some time making some memorable NPCs in the new areas. Better dialogue, more reactions to events and perhaps even some schedule scripts for a few key NPCs would really help for me.

I didn't think it could be done. But surely there must be some ways they can improve the melee.
