I need Torches

Has anyone ever figured out if there is a way to make torches? Or is there a great cache of them or candles somewhere? I just started level 4 of the Crypt and I really dislike the sound and color that comes with the magical variety of increased light. Also, I found it almost impossible to see the ruins in the rooms around the cathedral by this light. With a torch it was easy. I'm down to my last few and all the stores I've been to are out. There's too much food and not enough light in this game, but I'm still having *great fun* with it. Maybe I'll stumble onto some soon. Thanks.

A couple things:

You can always change the light effects in the "options" menu to make the screen lighter. That's what I did. Gameplay is much better that way.

You can also buy torches from Shany's Mom.

There are a ton of torches strewn about the catacombs.

Truthfully, if you change the light/darkness in the "options" menu it helps out immensely!
