You state this in the "Addon - English Version" thread. Does this mean the polish version will be released in various countries or the english v? |

I would say this depends on whether or not Polish is the standard language in these countries.

The polish version will (obviously) be released in the polish speaking countries. But there are rumors that now the polish version is released, the english one will be coming soon too, because it happened the same way with the release of G2.

When the german expansion came out i promised myself to stop playing G2 for the 6,7th time and thus have more fun when the english expansion came out. And i still keep the promise i very much want to play the standard game now because i LOVE it. And now i hear the english version will be released after all!! Very good news indeed!
Lets hope its finally true now! i dont wanna play the watered-down german-with-mod version  |

Where did you hear that the addon will be released in English version?
Also it is true that had happened the same thing(for spanish version) in G2?

Unfortunately I don`t count on an english NotR version...It has been delayed for too much time now, and I REALLY get the feeling that we will never hear the NotR NPC`s talk in english  .

Jowood and Pb already know how things are going, it really isn't gone unnoticed, but in the businessworld things that look simple for us may be very complicated in reality.

They know how many people want this game.Why they dont publish?
Some months ago they said we working on that.I believe that the game is ready but they dont publish it.

how can some of you still be thinking that the english version wont be releast .. if it is inddeed being releast in polish then it wouldnt make much sence not to bring on the english version as well .. and besides its no secret that the same thing pretty much happened whit both G1 and 2 .. the german version was out waaay before then english and the english version was delayed countless times .. also i fear that the same thing is very likely gonna happen whit G3 but thats no reason to give up hope .. gothic is too well known and loved to just abandon it

frankly, i have absolutely no idea how things work in the buisnessworld. i can't understand why all this lack of comunication is necessary and what it serves. is it supposed to keep us hooked or something? or the opposite? either way, it doesn't have any of these results.
the main thing is still the same: game comes out at some point, we buy, they earn money and we're happy.
all this refers to publishers of course....not devs.
my only thought is that the publishing companies need to rely on fast profits in order to survive. meaning: they need to determine the appropriate moment to release a game in order to get a financial boost from the mass sales of it in a given time period, like say 1 month after release. and after that they move on to the next game... |

Yes but that's only what we notice about it. Jowood doesn't have endless amounts of money, so decisions have to be made about which games will be released and when. It's all depended on the strategy. I don't know the true reasons either, but I just think we're all doing too easy about it. Like: "Why don't they just release it, they'll make lots of money with it."
