Trouble with Gothic Startup |
|
I am having a hard time getting Gothic to startup. I have updated my drivers for my video card GeForce4 420. I have directx 8.0, Windows 98, 256MB Ram, 667MHz, and I've read through all the previous threads about other peoples problems but can't seem to get mine up and running. I also have the 1.8k patch but still nothing. When I try to load the game my computer simply locks up and I have to Cntrl+Alt+Del and it says Gothic is "not responding"
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated |

Start the task manager and close all programs. Then start the game. Wait for 10 minutes. Is it still not responding? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Thanks for the tip. I closed all other programs running and let the game load for over 10 minutes, finally a window that said Gothic v1.8 popped up, but the screen was blank and nothing ever happened from there.
Any thing else I might be able to try? |

Is FSAA disabled in your graphics driver? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Again thanks for the tip, but I disabled the FSAA and still no luck, it responds the same way.
Anything else to try? |
