I recently heard about Rubies of Eventide reading the news on the front page of rpgdot. I decided to go to the official site and check it out. I signed up for the beta and surprisingly I was immediately allowed to download the beta client and get into the game. 
I played for several hours and had fun, even though there was a kind of a feeling of been-there-done-that to it since I'd played other games like it in the past. Has anyone else participated in the Rubies of Eventide beta and did you like it or not? I think I am going to continue to play until beta runs out and the game goes final.
P.S. I tried to be very careful not to say anything which could violate an
n.d.a. I did not give out any specifics of the game, just some very vague generalizations. If a moderator here feels I have violated an n.d.a., I sincerely apologize and feel free to delete this message.

I don't think there's anything that violates the NDA here
Rubies looks quite like Asheron's Call 1. Slightly improved graphics. I'll have to try that to actually say anything about it.

Just an update here...I decided to play this game and continue on into final. I have to admit, I am hooked for now. That's where I've been all this time, playing Rubies of Eventide.
I admit, the game is in an unpolished state right now and needs more work, but it shows promise and the people there are generally nicer and more friendly than in other mmorpg's I've played. I will probably continue playing, at least until I can get in to Horizons. 
So, if anyone wondered what happened to me, now you know. Got sucked into the world of Rubies of Eventide.
