awesome game... one question though
   

I really love this game!

That said, from who / where do i find the basic Soul Trap spell?

I have searched Vivec (lost most of the time) and cannot find one NPC that can sell me the damn spell.

Just bought it from the temple guy in Gnisis. I think I've seen others that sell it, though.

You have to check the mage guilds.
You can buy them as spells or as scrolls.
I know balmora mage guild got one.
