(G2-NotR English 2.7) Should I learn to pickpocket early?

You know how hard is to obtain those meagre 10 points each time one levels up. I have obtained the first lessons on alchemy, sneaking, archery, one-handed weapon, bow and lock-picking. lock-picking and sneaking were very good, because i became 3,000 gp richer because of them.
now i will get my next 10 LPs and have a doubt - should i learn with Cassia to pocket-pick or learn to extract thingies from beasts (mandibles, etc).
During this time, everyday i go to innos shrine and get alternatively 1 dex or 1 str, so i do not miss them.

johnnybravo1,

Please see the other thread about whether Pickpocket is worth it. Good advice in there.

As for the shrines, the opportunity to pray to get Str and Dex, etc., doesn't go away if you skip a day. It's based on how much you have obtained from the shrines, not when you did it.

Though getting those boosts early in the game can really help out. The only downside is if you don't have Str and Dex up to at least 30 yet, it's more efficient to spend LPs to get to 30, then use other methods later. YMMV.
