Going bald...

I'm trying to make sense of DS's templates, but it's really difficult, at least for a beginning modder like myself. It's so frustrating that I'd almost start pulling my hair out....

I know that there's a Siege University template tutorial, but it assumes you already know how to open, ectract and edit those files, and I personally DON'T.

Does anyone know a (free) texteditor that's sufficient to edit templates? Info on how to put new templates into the main default folder inside Dungeon Siege's Recourse Folder would also be VERY much appreciated!
