Something isn’t right. I have two swords but no matter what I do, I never have held or used a sword in battle. I push the weapon and action key and all that but nothing will produce a weapon in my hand. All I do is punch people. I go to the inventory and a sword is selected. Please tell me if there is an easy fix. I am running 1gig AMD XP 256 meg ram 32 mg video card. Otherwise everything works fine. Oh also I never pick up things like ore etc. I keep clicking action but nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

The most likely answer is that you do NOT have a sword selected even though you think you do . Post back with HOW you select a sword in your inventory and perhaps that will help someone troubleshoot your problem.

You have to learn the controls. It's not enough to just push action. You have to push action along with the up arrow or forward key to select the item, same with picking up stuff and just about every other move in the game.

Open up your inventory, (backspace or tab) scroll to the most left column, (weapons)move up or down to your best weapon, (up and down arrow) hold the action button and press the up arrow, (CTRL and up arrow) The sword should now appear on you. Now you press 1 to activate it.

(ctrl or LMB) + up equips in the inventory equips items.
1.2...0 selects.

You can also use the mouse in combination with arrow keys to swing. Manage inventories, Jump/Climb (right mouse held down, with up arrow). I find it to be more flexible. Hold left mouse button up arrow: swing and move forward. Right/Left: swing Right/Left. Down: block. Also use the wheel on the mouse to change perspective.

I found that Nellik's Sword was the best all around weapon available. It cuts through the air so fast you can almost see flames coming off it

Ah yes, the Rekir Sword, I have heard of such a blade. Perhaps I will strive for that weapon, or maybe I will search for Rekcuf's Blade. Let the search begin

I don't need a blade - my straight staff will suffice.
