I just entered chapter 4 and I want to join the water mages, but I can't seem to. I ask Nefarious if I can join, but he says I need to become a mercenary first. How do I become a mercenary? Do I need to become a rogue first?
Lares won't say anything to me except do you want to better yourself and raise str or dex. Lee doesn't say anything when I talk to him.
Is it because back in chapter 1 I gave the list Lares wanted to Diego that I am screwed now? If so, is there a way to cheat to still be able to join the water mages? And if there is no way to join water mages now, can I still get 5th and 6th level spells and win the game as a pure mage with very low str and dex? |

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention in the above post, I am a member of Old Camp and became a fire mage. |

Forget him, talk to head watermage, Sataris or something like that. Then you need to start and finish the next major quest and then you have the option....

Don't worry about what the water mage said about.
If you are an old camper, just do your quests and at one point, you can become a water mage even your are old the new camper.
before that, don't bother to ask to join the water mage  |

Whew! Finally made it into the water mages. I went and talked to Diego and Milten and then Lester and then went back Saturas and he gave me the option to be a water mage. Ahhh, success!
Now seems like a good time to go turn into a meatbug and sneak under the old camp gates and kick some serious bootay.  Maybe that's not such a good idea though? |
