can't get past config screen !
   

Borrowed DD from a mate, installed game..downloaded hotfix #2 and nocd patch [ I think I've installed these ok] but I can't get past the config screen...when I hit test resolution changes [ black screen] thats where it hangs...does not return to dektop after 10 seconds.
Any suggetions would be gratefully received ! [ made the mistake of giving back game to mate before making sure I could get no cd patch to work !...seemed to work ok before with original disks !]
