the heavy armor would offer much better protection if you had a higher heavy armor skill...your inventory window will show you how much armor you have after the skill modifiers (under your picture)...the advantage to medium and light armors is less weight and greater speed and jumping ability.

I'll just put it this way: medium armor sucks. heavy is probably the best but light armor is very good for thief type characters.

I'm at university right now so I can't tell but I know is higher than the Medium armor one it is like 35 I think. BTW, Hey I'm killing everything HURRAAYYY!!! I got to the caverns and killed everyone in there and released the prisoners I think I'm starting to like this game.
QUESTIONS:
1)When do i level Up???
2)How can I increase my personality skills???

If your heavy armor and medium armor skills where both 35 the more expensive should have better defense rating.

1. You level up after you have leveled up enough of your major/minor skills. I think you need to level up 8 or 10, any more after that will give you a modifier on attributes when your char levels. For instance: Say you have got lots of skills that strength helps, when your character levels it will say something like: x3 Strength, so you will get 3 strength instead of one. Bit of a compilcated explanatoin which brings me to question 2

2. you can increade personality when you level. you get a few points to assign to any of your attributes. You will know when you level when a message comes up that says: you should rest or meditate on what you've learned. When that comes if you sleep you level, to get a high modifier on a skill (makes them increase faster) you have to get more skills on whatever atribute you want to level. In your case personality, so leveling Merchantil, Speechcraft and illusion will raise the modifier on personality giveing you more that 1 point in it. (there may be more skills that level personality but i'm not sure)

If you don't understand any part of this ask.

That bar represents how much they like you. You also have a better chace to succeed persuasion if your fatigue is full. What level is speechcraft? "'ve found thate people usually respond well to bribes too

100gp minimum?

Naaa, a bribe of 10gp will also work, but they're less likely to accept it and it'll affect them less than 100gp would. 1000gp on the other hand...
