EverQuest 2: Review @ OnlineWelten.com (German) |
|
OnlineWelten.com dropped us a line to say they have posted a (German) review of EverQuest II. The score is 95% and they name EQ2 "the new Queen of MMOGs". |

this is certainly one of the worst reviews of a game I have ever read. it was obviously written by a total fanboy and though I understand that reviews are almost always influenced by personal taste I think that one should at least TRY to be as objective as possible. just to give you a small example - the article ends with the statement that everquest is a mmorpg for both - powergamer and casual player. I guess you can say a lot of things about everquest 2 but certainly not that it is a game for casual players...
overall this review is complete bs. the writer just mentions the good things, he does not say one single word about the things that are not so great. he should probably stop writing reviews. |

this website announced Ryzom as WoW killer in their reviews. You can't really take anything seriously from them.
On the other side I don't think that EQ 2 is as bad as most people say. They expected rather a single player, solo game like WoW(with possibilities to group). EQ 2 is hardcore grouping though which isn't unexpected.
I had a lot of fun in EQ2 closed beta before experience and combat got nerfed countless times. |

Great game Don't bash WOW or Everquest 2, both of these are excellent games and you won't be disappointed if you buy either. WOW is a better buy if you want to solo. However, if you like the strategies of grouping then buy Everquest. WOW is no slouch in grouping but just not as necessary. I have hated all previous released MMO's that I have tried but love both of these. If you do not have a good machine don't buy Everquest. Both companies should be commended for the products they have developed. The only thing I wish was done better in WOW was the way new clothes, weponse, and such were displayed on your character. No where near the quality of EQ2. EQ2 is deep, very deep, so far I have not seen that with WOW. Since I like them both they will each be getting my money every month, damn you!!!!! My Half Life 2 is collecting dust because of you two!!! |
