The Fable ad

Is there some way to cut down the frequency of this ads appearences? I would estimate that 9 out of every 10 topic/forum changes results in it's appearance.

At first I thought I could live with it, but after the 70th time I closed it out, I have come to assossiate the opening notes of music with water torture. Is there ANYthing I can do???

It is rather annoying, isn't it? I'm happy it goes away when I log in.

@ Chekote: Okay Mr. Schmartie Pants, where do I find this pop up blocker?

You see, what I know that you don't, is that I am using a work supplied IE build that is, most likely, a few years out of date.

But thanks for the suggestion!

The latest Win XP service pack (2) contains a pop-up blocker for IE.

Popups? I see no popups...

In fact, I've not seen anything appearing in the top advert pane for quite some time now. Am I supposed to see anything there?

I'm using the divinity skin and have a small ad popup for Ryzom. But it does it every time. Good thing is I move it when I first log in to below my viewing area and it stays there. Keeps opening but goes minimized when I click on a topic. It is a pain as well and they do need to get down on the number of times you have to keep seeing this stuff.

It's a flash ad, so you would have to disable flash. I'm clueless on what they use as a criteria for showing the ad or not. As the posts explain, some people see them some people don't some people keep on seeing them and some only once.
The ads are served by Jolt and they decide when to display what and in what way. In this specific case the ad is resticted to a number of times it is displayed, so it won't take too long.

This ad is absolutely annoying. When I´m logged into the editor menu with IE I get it every 2nd page load. I counted it.

You could probably ask Jolt to change it.
