Has anyone killed this guy yet...he is extremely annoying and disturbing. I punched him in the face a few times but he keeps coming back (moron), also I learned a bit of sword skill (1 handed now baby) and I accidentally (NOT) hit him and took off a quarter of his life bar.
What has everyone else done to him...does he play a part later, or is he just there to be annoying?

He plays no place in the storyline.
Just kill him.
Mud is just a memorable character. Even after you forget about Gothic, when a person says "His name is Mud", you'll think of Gothic again. |

But remember that he is your only true friend at the start of the game, so think about it before you knock him out or kill him. |

He is your only friend.Take him everywhere you go .I took him outside the OC and knocked him out then robbed him.He never bothered me again. |

true friend?? he doesn't stop talking bs!! besides, he doesn't help you in a fight, so what's the point in keeping him around?

Hey Kabuto, you can learn One-Handed sword fighting Levels 1 and 2 in the demo.
There's a similiar version of Mud in the Sect Camp.
His name is... Swarf or something like that.
He lives in the middle of the swamp, in the middle of 3 Swamp sharks. |

hmmmmm.... I have been back at the old camp after I was exiled (meatbug), and Mud was lying on the ground beaten, but he wanst dead. But he didnt get up! I think he must serve some purpose. I avoided him from the start, cuz once I had to start from the beginning (dont ask why  ), and I knew how annoying he was. Maybe he had a quest too? |

Swarf is not annoying like Mud is, wich makes him a nice NPC =)
To bad you cannot heal him, equip him, or teleport with him.
If I could, I would defenitly have him with me.
