Why do most of the users here make more grammatical mistakes in a post than there're words in it?

1-No, it's not an English test, but why don't you correct them?

Because English, as far as I am concerned is not the first language for many is not most of RPGDot users. Including me. And you? Generally I try to check what I write before pushing Submit button. But this is only about misprints. My grammar is half as good as it should be, and people generally like less than half of it half as well as it deserves
I don't mind people writing as well as they can - I'm here to talk to them, not enjoy Shakespear-like language. _________________ - Druids do not fight with metal weapons! Sit here, and you over here. Put the elbows of your right arms on the table...

Most of the users? I doubt that. _________________ Kewl quotes:

Well, to be technical, this quote should be "Why do most users COMMIT more mistakes... "
But then, who's really counting the errors?

Ok. But nothing is wrong with "do". Yes, Commit is better, but do isn't wrong.

Oh I know, what about when they mix up singular and plural, like saying "there's words" rather "than there are words!"

P.S. 'make' is better than commit or do in this case.

....
Well, actually do is not really appropriate. Commit, make, type are all good alternatives, but it is a bit of stretch to use 'do' it that way ... The use of the word do to mean 'create' is more colloquial (sp?) than is normally acceptable in written English.
It is all right, however, since the intent was clear. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

What does this mean?
It means spelling questionable, i.e. he is not sure if he spelled colloquial right. (He did spell it right.)

It is short hand for "I might have mis-spelled this word". While I might have a decent vocabulary, I can not spell very well at all ... that is why I try to keep my words short *grin*
Edited to remove a redundant word ... also to comment on the simul-post. Thanks vaticide! _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=
