I would kill to see a movie based on "Gothic 1" game, made by LOTR authors. That would be just awesome!
But never gonna happen imho, especially movie based on G1, which would be the best for movie. |

If it would be made by Peter Jackson it would propably have "cool slow motion" and skating hippies firing fully automatic crossbows. _________________ I really, really tried to figure out something clever here like "Life is a waterfall" and artistic stuff like that but no! Such a movie would probably be made by Uwe Boll. You needn't worry about quality then - I take it he doesn't know the word . _________________ Jaz |

I've never seen any movie of him, but i can't say i'm sad about it.
But if he really would make a gothic movie perhaps i can see by myself what a godawful director he is. |

Well if they wanna make actor look or be like the character in the first two games , how about Harrison Ford? the character has a average build and looks / talks kinda wimpy so how about him.
Accept hes probably to old now |

He made House of the Dead... Alone in the Dark... just bought the rights to Dungeon Siege, and he's after every other video game license in the world including Half-Life, Metal Gear Solid and Halo. In the light of his recent masterpieces, fans of said games show suicidal tendencies when his name is mentioned. We might say Uwe Boll is a modern day Ed Wood.
I saw House of the Dead, and it's so fantastic . If you ever thought you saw a bad game-to-movie flick... forget it. They're all gold compared to this monstrosity. Script, acting and directing are... ummm... I actually have no words for this. Now I want to see Alone in the Dark, badly. It must be horrible. He manages to make horroble movies from games without a story, I'd like to see what he makes from a game with a story!
The sad truth is: Uwe Boll is after the rights to nearly every game that sold well. So... if there will be a Gothic movie, he's probably the one, unless the party holding the rights knows they have to expect comedy gold if they take him up on his offer. _________________ Jaz |

The thing that makes the move real difficult is that the character has no name!
And the actor would be... Arnold! (You know which Arnold) He has an austrian accent too!
About Uwe Boll... I just read a finnish game magazine called "Pelit" and one of hte titles was: "Hang Uwe Boll!" _________________ I really, really tried to figure out something clever here like "Life is a waterfall" and artistic stuff like that but no!
