I have brought a new game to play |
|
After all of your suggestions(re:can somebody please help) I went out & brought myself a new game to play. After having a closer look at them I put the names of them into a hat and drew one out(just kidding!) Seriously though I do appreciate all of your suggestions & now I will have some other games that I will be able to keep in mind for the future Thankyou; its nice to know that there are people out there willing to help beginners like myself! _________________ " Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe. Good way how to choose a game :]. Sadly there are not many new RPGs so there aren't many papers to give into the hat. |

it doesn't has to be new to be good. only look like gothic. I never played morrowwind myself but from what I hear on this forum Gothic supperceed morrowwind on every way say I say: you had better bought Gothic 1 or 1 _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

Thankyou for your suggestion I brought Morrowind based on a few factors eg people's suggestions; value for money & because I wanted something similiar to Fable & a game that was not too difficult for me to play ie one that has an easy level. _________________ " Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe. " LOTR

Welcome to the boards Guinevere
I envy you in someways you can now play all those classic games for the first time. There are lots of threads on this board about the "Best ever games" (hopefully you'll never find one called "Most l33t gamez eva" (shudder)
As your journey in the (forgive the pun) realms of RPGing contiinues and you get more into the genre there are certain names that will keep popping up. These are games that most people consider to be classics, names such as Fallout 1 & 2, Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 and Planescape:Torment. These are old now but I'm sure most of us would love to go back and play them for the first time again to discover all the secrets again. Of course you can go really retro into the age of Bards Tale and Wasteland but I think it's a little early to start going that far back - we'll ease you in gently
Anyway have fun with Morrowind - it is a good game don't get dragged in to the Morrowind v's Gothic debate - just enjoy the game you are playing and have fun. _________________ "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true."

Guin, fear not about joining our sessions. Many of the people now playing and loving it, had NEVER played only a few short weeks ago. We are VERY kind and helpful to new players. We want more new people to join in. We even have lovely ladies here who will guide you through some practice sessions. Just PM CM or JM (I'm serious, despite how it looks ) and they will be happy to arrange it with you. This is a user friendly place!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!
