What's with Merrick's staff?(spoiler)
   

I thought... wow, Merrick's staff is going to be a great quest. I wonder where I can find it. So after a lot of trudging around a stupid swamp, I found the hole to the goblin domain and after having killed all the goblins and their ridiculous machines, this last goblin comes out with some stupid messages.

But finally... I found it! Merrick's staff! Oh... I also recruited Merrick when I talked to him.

Funny thing is... he's to stupid to use his OWN staff??!!! The intelligence requirement is way above his.

Now isn't that just stupid?
