Arx and Xbox...Dirty Disc Pain |
|
I have been having trouble with Arx Fatalis on my Xbox. I get a lot of Dirty Disc Errors while trying to save, or when loading, i.e after going up stairs. It's pretty annoying, because I only have about a 30 to 40% success rate with saves. Too bad, too, I think the game will be a lot of fun to play...if I can get passed this 'saving' issue.
So, anyone have any ideas on how to help this? The disc is brand new, and not dirty. This seems to be a common problem with RPGs and Xboxs. Huge let-down.
Thanks for any help you may provide. |

Welcome to the boards first off. Try the tech support thread and email J Roby at Arkane. Maybe they have answers. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

Thanks...don't suppose you have the email address? I've been reading a lot about dirty disc errors and the Xbox. Seems like there is a trend. I just want to play the game, really. Wouldn't that be a novel approach to gaming?
I appreciate the help. |

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/games/default.htm Try this site if you haven't already. I saw a similar problem listed there as what you discribed. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

I have an XBOX as well that gets very moody from time to time...I have found that for my tempermental XBOX that it seems to run better if I don't have a lot of saved games on it. If you have several saves for ARX FATALIS, try deleting some of the ones you aren't using. Do you have the XBOX near any speakers? I know this sounds crazy, but I have heard of XBOX's having a hard time near stereo equipment, especially speakers due to the magnets. My XBOX wasn't real close to a big speaker, but it did help a little by moving it away from other electrical devices. You might want to try moving it if it's close to a speaker. Good luck. _________________ Chaotic Evil means never having to say you're sorry... |
