About Gothic 1 and a BIG crime:
I didn't buy Gothic 1 in time. But to all, who did the same mistake
I can say: better late than never! So after finishing Gothic 2 I started
Gothic 1. Believe me this game will be great even after Gothic 5
and people should play it even in 2010!! The only bad thing in playing
first game after second is that you will finish it too fast and it will be too
easy .
To AMMON777: congratulations with 1000 posts . I hope
you wan't finish on this!!! _________________ @Aka Negovan, aka Her_O@

haha, that Happens to all of the people that plays any Gothic and the another, I play Gothic 1 First and It took me a good time to know how to control, fight, trade, etcetc and then, when i play Gothic 2, it was a lot easier, so is just becouse you get used to controls, etc, is like almost every first time after a time, With Practice, you get used to eat then you become a Master _________________ Nobady's Perfect, . . . . @Sasa, Thanks! It took me a whole two years to get to 1000.
Im glad i am gonna start playing Gothic 1 before Gothic 2 -- it will be the best way to play it. I mean, its like playing BG1 before BG2, it just makes it funner. umm yes i am gonna finish gothic, why wouldnt i? |

Play Gothic I first, by all means!!! |
|
I MEAN DO IT!@!!
If you don't, you will be sorry!
The rather akward keyboard controls in Gothic I will (I assume) be improved, but they are the only real problems anyone will face learning to play the game. Sure, it crashed at times, but what game doesn't?
There is SO MUCH TO LIKE about Gothic I that I can't understand how it got so IGNORED by the gaming press. Long after I finished the game I still think about it, dream about it, sneak on over to the Swamp Camp for few nights...
My biggest complaint is there's virtually no WOMEN in the game! There's no 'gay' influence except for the lack of females. I hope that's taken care of in Gothic II. Can anyone who's played Gothic II tell me if there are any "functional females" in the game?

There are significantly more females in GII, yes. You can talk to them, buy stuff from them, get quests from them, etc. Does that cover your definition of 'functional'...? _________________ Jaz |

Sure; at least it's better than the 3 girls in Gothic I who could say nothing except that they couldn't talk to me. |

There are also some women in Gothic II which are more "functional" in a certain way.... |

Well, at least in Morrowind I had a house with a near-naked dancing girl on duty 24/7. All she did was dance, but it was nice to come home to after a hard week of killing flase gods and giant rats! |

You'll get more than dance here. Just read the GII forums... _________________ Jaz |

It would be interesting if Gothic had women-warriors. What about
those girls in Gothic 1 - it seemed so, that they where just stupid .
I killed Gomez, which was their owner and they still said that I can’t
speak with them . I so hoped that they will became
my friends ................. _________________ @Aka Negovan, aka Her_O@

Hey Ammon, good start at the Gothic boards. A triple post to say hello.
Open a thread when you´ve installed the game. If it runs you´ll want to know what to optimise, if it doesn´t run ... you know the answer. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
