One thing I respect in KotoR are children and families. In morrowind or gothic, there isn't a single children in the entire game. How do the people of morrowind reproduce if there is no childen or families?
That's sth many GothicFans missed in nr 2. In a city there should be children too. I'm convinced now : I will buy this game in the near future. I'm not sure if I should by an XBOX and this game of the PC version. I have a AMD 1GHZ 512MB RAM, Geforce 4600, SB live 5.1 and a good screen and a hell of a surround system. _________________ Moderator and Council Magician of the RPGDot Shadows

I would recommand that you buy the PC version as the PC version have some new content. Unless you happen to subscribe to XBox Live! as the new content will be available to XBox users via that service sometime in the future. That and the PC version is easier to play with your mouse and keyboard, just pointing and clicking on what you wanted. |

Why the heck are you guys comparing KotOR to *Gothic*? That's just about the weirdest comparison I can think of. Must be an RPGDOT-ism. |

Gothic (1&2) is probably the favourite game of most regulars here. Therefore, when we try to measure up a game, we most often use Gothic as our standard. They are both RPG's after all!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

Alright, first of all i'd like to congratulate you all. This post actually forced me to register so i could reply. Err.. or it would have if i hadn't already registered once.. wich i had forgotten about. Well anyways, i first got the game when a friend told me it was just like gothic. I love gothic and let me tell you, THIS GAME HAS PRECICELY NOTHING IN COMMON WITH GOTHIC! ..except that they both are computer games.
The things that make Gothic unique is the huge gameworld with no restrictions and the the choise between three camps. Those are the things that basically sets it apart from all other rpgs.
Why does everybody insist on comparing Kotor with gothic when a more appropriate comparison would be Neverwinter Nights with a 3rd person perspective.
Seriously, what do Gothic and Kotor have in common? |
