Thanks for rewarding my suggestion for a BG topics forum, or mybe it was just good timing.
I am starting BG2+TOB gain. Still in Irenicus' dungeon as a Chaotic Sorceror.
Also about to start IWD + HOW ...again.
Hope to read many useful posts here.

Finishing is a matter of patience more than anything else. I didn't find any problems at all with anything in BG or BG2. Then again, I've been playing second ed since it first came out, and first ed before that... so it wasn't like the classes, skills, or races were new to me.
Which is why I had a hard time getting into it, really. There was nothing there that I didn't do tabletop.
Mages are great characters. Sorcerer is a little tricky because of your limited spells known... but scrolls more than make up for it, and are common in the game. An as for Mage... well... the only NPC that does mage right is Edwin, and he's evil. So if you want a good mage, you have to do it yourself. (Unless, like me, you work hard to make the NPCs better than the PC just for fun.)
