Original Display Drivers that came with sys (3years old).

The new drivers (even archived ones) totally screw up my system on my ye olde picture maker (Riva TNT).

No loss of benchmarks though. When I get XP I hope that those dets will work better.

I'm using the 23.12's that came out a while ago. They work by far the best on my system (athlon xp 1800+, 512 DDR (Kingston 2100), PNY geforce 3, GA-7DX mobo (amd 761 chipset), sb live!, yada yada yada). I tried some of the new dets, but they slow down my 3d mark score. I think they are designed specifically for the geforce 4, so they don't improve the geforce 3 at all. WIth my 23.12's, I get a 3d mark of 7350, but with 28.xx, I usually get around 6700. But, whatever works best for your system.

Don't always assume 3dmark is the bottom line for testing either. The 28.32's dropped my 3d mark score but increased the framerate in MW. I have done lots of benchmarking and I always use more than 1 proggy to check results.

The 21.80's gave me the best 3dmark score, but the worst opengl scores (quake 3).

Given that MW is only app capable of slowing my PC at the moment. I chose the best drivers for it. Simple eh? Who cares if I dropped from 270 to 265 FPS in quake right? I picked the ones that gained me 2 fps in MW.

28.90s on a GeForce 3

good set... not as fast as the 28.32s (by on average 4fps) but they solved this weird crashing problem on xp for me.

27.70s on my GF3.

I had one crash in 24 hours with them. Fast and no texture issues at all.

Because all 28.+ drivers are more and more GF4 optimized, i don't really see a sense in installing them anyway.
