How to regarding: patch v1.17

: Now where do I paste v1.17? Thought a patch would clear up the problem of making the 'strange potion' . Bought Arx Fatalis 3 weeks ago and would have thought it was a patched version? Newbie at this.

Check the properties on the game icon for the version. Download the patch from the Arx hosted site here at the dot to your desktop. Just double click and you should get the installation setup. If you already have v1.17 it will say so and not install.

If that is the case, sounds like you need to reinstall the game. I had that problem. Be sure your virus protection is disabled before you install. Also do a search of your HD for any JoWood files and delete those. For some reason they are not removed on the standard uninstall and will stop you from reinstalling the game.

Hope this helps.

Cm,
Thanks for your help. Wasn't sure if it was self-extracting
