Introduction

Danankai is a MMORPG which puts players in the shoes of The Outsiders in a barren desert planet trying to survive the harsh environment and each other. The game is being created using the RealmCrafter engine. Read more about the engine at www.realmcrafter.com

Background

Earth died. The people left on that cursed planet began the biggest exile ever known. To reach the next habitable planet they built StarArch, a huge spacecraft capable of transferring a whole generation to distant galaxies. Near the completion of the project the crew of the ship was meant to be chosen by a public lottery.
Multicorp, the greatest megacorporation disagreed with the selecting method and decided to take over the project. As a technological superpower, Multicorp quickly took out its competitors. With its brand new StarArch, Multicorp left others to die with the planet.

Key features

Ability to transfer Experience
"To measure the strength of your opponent, don't look at his equipment. Look at his friends." Getting people to do your bidding is a true sign of power. In Danankai you can give some of your experience to a weaker character. A Gang leader may donate a portion of his experience to his best henchmen. It’s up to you to decide who will get the raise. Remember that the only guy left empty-handed may have a rocket thrower in his trunk.

Deadly desert
You will not dwell the endless desert without huge amounts of water. You will not leave the city without some arrangements. You will not survive without a car. You will not survive without a rad-suit. You will die without a map. You won’t last long without some serious hardware. You won’t obey these instructions anyway.

Fast coupons™
Did a n00b shoot you without a reason? Are you pissed off since your main character is incapacitated for a few more hours? Don’t worry, take a Fast Coupon™. By taking this option in main menu you’ll spawn into a very aggressive posse in the wasteland. You will occupy a full arsenal of weapons, laughably low skills and inability to collect experience. No sweat. Shooting everything that moves or stays still is your major indulgence.

Genre

The setting is post-apocalyptic science fiction. There are some serious sci-fi thingys around. You only need to blast one down with your rocket thrower and figure out where to get the spare parts.

Looking for new members

I'm searching people who have ideas for a MMORPG and who can tell them so others understand. Only requirement is that you must be able to theorize why your idea is good and what cons it might have.
Also we are currently searching for people who can create original weapon/vehicle/item designs. People who know about architecture and human body are also welcome.
The first couple of months we spend to learn the software/source code, determine our artistical directions and do as much concept art and planning as possible.

Interested? Come to www.Danankai.net/forum
