Dungeon Lords: Patch 1.4 for "Everyone"

Dreamcatcher's Byron Gaum has posted in the Dungeon Lords forum about the anticipated v1.4 patch:
Hey guys - The 1.4 update will be available to everyone. Don't worry. It's still being worked on here - testing, etc. Production informs me that it shouldn't be much longer, but we've run into some technical difficulties with it. Hopefully, I'll have some better news very soon. It's coming along... it's just not ready yet.

Thanks for your patience.
Read it here. This doesn't clarify much because the German v1.4 patch was released in November - so why did they hit technical problems for the English version? And does the Collectors Edition contain improvements beyond v1.4 - or is it the same thing?

I too was suprised at the comment about there being new maps and such.
I figured it was part of the Plat package, the more I think about it the more I think they have been working on an addon pack intsead of just fixing the game first.
Kinda suggest that the game could have been fix much earlier and that annoys me.
I guess I should wait till I know for sure before I call them "jerkoffs!" , nah that felt too good

At least the makers of Descent to Undermountain knew when to quit, these guys obviously don't.

I'm willing to bet their much vaunted "DL:CE" ends up in the bargain bin almost immediately. Gamers, especially RPG gamers, are smarter then that.
