Beyond Divinity - Anyone got it yet?

So is anyone playing this game yet? If so what's your opinion of it. Also, can anyone that owns it rip some of the Death Knight's voice overs out of the game and post a clip here? I don't know about anyone else, but I'm curious about how the new voice overs sound.

Well I finally found a clip of the new Death Knight's voice overs, and I gotta say I like the demo's version a bit better. The new version, which you can find here, sounds like the Death Knight is angry because he's constipated.

It looks like I'll be turning the voices off if I ever decide to buy the game.

I prefer the new voice but it does seem also poorly acted. Cant tell.

The old voice was monotone the new voice has emotion but its always angry...

The old voice I found somewhat sarcastic. This new voice makes DK sound as if he's trying out for a pro wrestling career.

I just got it today. I'll let you know what I think after I play for a bit.

I guess I need to get started on a new walkthrough while I'm at it.

Sweet I can't wait for your impression (or anyone elses for that matter). All I ask is that you watch your spoilers. I'm one of the few gamers out there that doesn't use walkthroughs while playing a game.

Well, I made it through what was in the demo last night. It was alright. I was tempted to turn off the speech though. A Morte rip-off with a Swedish accent? Kill me please.

*kills you*

I don't realy mind the voices much. Although not too good, I can easily play without getting annoyed over them.

I think the voice overs in DD are pretty bad. Are BDs any worse?

Well, I don't think the voice is too bad. I didn't play the demo for long but as far as I recall the new voice suits the DK a lot better than the one in the demo. It may not be perfect but its ok.

One thing, though. I'm really getting annoyed with some of the music, especially the one with all the humming. The music is not bad at all but it’s very repetitive and if your lucky two different sounds can play simultaneously.

Okay, on voices, some are funny, like the skeleton that pretended to be a woman. But several are just blah.

On the music, I loved the music in DD, but the music in BD is just disappointing. There have only been a few tracks that I've really liked. The music that plays when you have the main menu up is just annoying. It sounds like someone swallowed a kazoo and they are now attempting to play it.

I've turned the music way down and have started playing music from DD on Winamp in the background.

Now that's an idea

I hope eb games will get it in store again soon. I can't wait to play it! Looking forward to walk the ground of Rivertown again How's the game so far, from after the end of the demo?

I got it today at eb games.

I have only played the demo area also, it is exactly the same.

Many of the voices are the same also, they did not change them all. I dont think the voices are bad.

I really like the new music, and as a matter of fact there is much more than DD. I listen to a lot of it its in some folder. All of the files are ogg files. and i listened to them in winamp while i was snooping around.

The game came with Divine divinity.... but with no instructions for DD which is weird. I guess that is for sale I already played that although it was very good.

So far I like the game a lot, but as I said it is just starting.

It's not bad. They've made several skills more useful.
