| Questions about the Thief Guild and becoming an apprentice |

Hey 
1) My first question is: do I REALLY need to become a citizen? The main Paladin (forgot his name, he is located where the paladins are training) said that if i kill the thief leader he will lemme join the militia(doesn't matter that i'm not a citizen, as he said).
2) When i came to the carpenter for his approval for becoming an apprentice he said that Vardas (hmm, i think this is his name) must bless me first. But Vardas doesn't want to. I've tried different dialogs, still no effect. Any idea how to make him bless me?
3) The last Q: so where is this thief guild located?

1) I think you can't become a citizen, just an apprentice. But being an apprentice is very usefull.
2) You can get his blessing. I don't know the wright dialog, but tell him the trueth. About Xardas and dragons. He won't tell it to anybody else.
3) Walk to the harbor. north side (opposite from the knights), walk behind the crane there and look into the water.
You need a key to get in. (i haven't got that yet)

1) Nope. As you said, the guy in the barracs will let you join militia if you can wipe out the Thiefs guild. Though it'll be easier if you would become an apprentice of someone. I'd recommend doing both, becoming an apprentice and doing the guild, for this way you would get all the XP:s served.
2) Like XeroX wrote, tell him the truth.
3) There are two doors to the guild, but the one you can enter before you are actually a guild member is on the docks like XeroX mentioned. The other is in the tavern right in front of the barracs. The key to the door in docks is carried by an assassin hired to kill you. You will meet this assassin if you can get the fish-selling-guy at the docks behind bars. Near the city is a cave where you'll meet a few bandits and a "weird looking fish", in which you'll find a note that can incriminate the fish seller...

I'd better tell him the truth.
Hmm, i already have an approval from the blacksmith (i have killed the bandits and get him an orc axe), the carpenter and going to do a work for Constantino. I don't want to spend 5lp to learn how to take skins so the forth master(i need 4 approvals) is only Matteo, right? But when i come to him i have only few options in a dialog ("show me your wares" and "how is it going")
But nothing about i need work or something.
By the way, which job is the most difficult to become an apprentice, to your mind

I found the herbs the most difficult to find. I could not find Dragonroot, but you need to do something first, then new herbs will come at a certain place.
I thought Bosper lteaches the skill for free?

Hmm, Bosper teaches for free but you need to spend 5LP on it.
Well, i found almost everything from the Constantino's list except Dragonroot and Snapperweed. Any idea where to get these very herbs?
Still, how to get a job from Matteo?

Talk to Zuris at the martplace about where Constantino gets his herbs, then go to that place and you will find almost everything.
I don't know if snapperweed will be there, but i found it somewhere else: go right from the east gate, on the left of the road is a cave, on a ledge above the cave is snapperweed (i thought i found it there). Or at least in that area.
I just talked to Matteo, i think about how it goes. Basicly somebody owns him money and you need to get it.

If you exit through the gate near the barracks, turn left, and then search. You should be able to find something near the rats there. |

After you talked to Zuris there is a Dragonroot right outside the gate.
Just left of the 3 way

I like to use melee weapons so I'd better chose a blacksmith as my master, right? Or you would advise me to go to the carpenter and learn how to pick locks for free? I don't really want to be an alchemyst or do wolf skins
Also, about the thief guild. I sent the fish trader who was smuggling stolen things to the city to the jail but I can't find an assassin that have to kill me (Maagrapu said above that i'll obtain a key to the guild from his body)

goto kardif at harbor pub and ask him, he will eventually say that a guy was looking for you behind fish trader house (i got this message when i put nagur behind bars for killing baltram messanger)

sell the package from akil to nagur or to baltram??
I've already sell the package to nagur and he said come back tomorrow 4 the money and then i go to andre and report him (nagur) for killing baltram errand-boy. then when i goto kafdif bar he said that a man looking for me behind harlov house and i kill him (get his key too) but my quest for baltram or nagur is still active??
what should i do then??
