Who dares to guees about the future, or who can actually look into the future good enough to give us what we all wait for: The Gone Gold day of our most expected games.
I dare challenge everybody with these exact dates.
1.ARX: 26/11-2001
2.MORROWIND: 10/12-2001
3.GORASUL (Eng): 15/10-2001
4.DIVINE DIVINITY: 19/11-2001
5.NEVER WINTER NIGHTS: 18/2-2002
6.DUNGEON SIEGE: 4/2-2002
7.POOL OF RADIANE 2: 15/10-2001
8.WIZARDRY 8: 3/12-2001
9.MIGHT & MAGIC 9: 1/5-2002

Anyone who dare to know better?

Well, fortune teller, Arx has been officially postponed to Q1/2002 already, so has been Divine Divinity and Pool of Radiance will make it before october
And there is no official word from Sir-Tech about Wizardry 8 so far.
Why don't you use our release list for a competition

Ok, so I'll try

ARX: Not before March.
Morrowind: Yes, this year.
Gorasul/English: They are preparing the box - so October/November.
Divine Divinity: March 2002
NWN: December.
Dungeon Siege: May 2002
Pool of Radiance 2: First sightings this week.
Wizardry 8: Not this year. Period.
Might & Magic 9: Fall 2002

Anyone else? *g*

Yes, a hear only lot of "know better" talk but I see no exact days? Well "Rend" at least risks his pinky finger.
To follow up with more guessing on mentioned gone gold dates:
1. Gothic: 30/10-2001
2. HOMM4: 6/2-2001
3. Warcraft 3: 30/1-2001
4. Duke nuke'em forever: 2/4-2002
Maybe I actually will hit one, and then I can say: "I told you so"!

Regarding DNF: I wager that it'll not be released in 2002. If it will, I'll buy Michael C a copy.

What's the margin on released-at-same-time bets? I mean, would a margin of 10 days be too much? 6 days?

I know, Garrett. But I still dn't believe it . Why, for example, as Buka postponed the release of the russian version to 2002?

The Curries said it will be released within the next 60 days, that was three or four weeks ago. No publisher announced yet. No ads. No hint. I do stay sceptical.

Let's say bets that hit within:

On the date: 25 Points (Amazing)
14 days: 10 Points (Very good)
1 Month: 7 Points (Good)
1½ Month: 5 Points (Okay not bad)
2 Month: 4 Points (Average)
2½ Month: 3 Points (Could have been better)
3 Month: 2 Points (No fortune teller)
4 Month: 1 Point (Way off)
More than 4 Month: 0 Points (Software salesman)

Well yes, Wizardry 8 is a tough nut, I understand the uncertain discussion about it's release, Gentlemen announce your exact bets and we will see!!!
I wan't to put Duke Nuke'em Forever in the same tough catagory, if anybody on this CRPG site care

Maggot: When (not if)you loose your wager on DNF, I probably have to wait on the game until 2003 anyway before it reaches Iceland

Michael C: What do you mean? I thought we were betting on Iceland release dates?

You also forgot the more than 1 year margin category:

More than 1 year: -1000 points (Software Developer)
