NotR Questions: Soundtrack, Textures, etc.

Hi:

Playing Gothic II Gold with NotR installed, and had a few questions:

- I am having the 'Virtual Disk' message on basically every game start ... tried replacing the file, but no avail - I am using a laptop and tend to 'standby' between things, so that may be the issue since I never played G2 on this new computer. Is this a known issue?

- I noticed a Soundtrack CD available with the 'Limited Edition' - is that available anywhere else? I have the few files they released publicly, but would love the whole soundtrack if it could be bought.

- Does anyone know if the 'texture pack' works with NotR installed? I had it with my original Gothic II install, and I think it looked better.

Thanks,

Mike

I've gotten that a few times as well. Basically, it's building an index of files. It'll get faster.

It's the Vdfs32g.exe file that the game uses. I always move it elsewhere. Never had any problems. I think it might run slow(er) for a couple of minutes.

I'm also curious about the soundtrack.

I think there was no real sound track. The music was dynamic. KaiRo had to connect some pieces to get something he could call sound track. I donīt know if the CD in one of the special editions contains more than the released 15 minutes. It can be bought for little money at that German shop.

The texture packīs description says it works with the add-on.
