Gothic (goin' back to the original for awhile)
World Domination demo (surprisingly good for a low-budget game. check out the demo at www.newgrounds.com)
I'm planning on downloading the Call of Duty mod "Revolt" soon and hopefully I'll have some fun with that.

I am waint for preordered Sacred and X2 (first one should be released here in one week or so). I will buy Kniths of the Old Republic probably tomorrow. So I am not yet decided which one will be first.

Still didn't get any further because I decided to replay Thief 1 and 2 instead.

Soldner's been getting some bad reviews. I know you've been a big supporter of this game, Jaz, so what do you think about the press the game's currently getting?

The bad reviews are well-deserved... throwing a half-finished collection of bugs on the market just because time ran out is bad style. I, for example, bought it for its single-player value (like all games I buy) which unfortunately was as good as non-existent when it came out.

It's not a great game, definitely not, but there are worse games - latest 'worst game' I can think of is Fire Warrior. And if you don't take Söldner serious in any way, it can be heaps of fun, especially after the latest patch.

You see, I paid good money for Söldner, so I'm bent on making the most of it!
It won't make its way into my list of favorite games, however.

Soldner: demo first, rather than impulse buy, I guess. I do want to try it out if only for the character customisation.

I've just about wrung the life out of Way of the Samurai (but try as I might, there's one story ending I just can't achieve! gamefaqs, here I come!). Now I've started on Sword of the Samurai. It is a different game, I promise. This one is all about the fighting - you get to build your own swordsmanship style, with up to three forms (stances), each with customisable Ko (attack), Tai (parry, then strike a killing blow) and Ken (break the opponent's stance, then strike) moves. You find yourself watching your opponent like a hawk, changing among your forms depending on their tactics - it's like one o' them there samurai films!

Recommended to any samurai nuts (are you reading this, kengo? ) or fans of deep, scientific fighting games - if you have a PS2, that is.

That's what I did as well. I liked the demo enough to buy the game, I just expected more from SP mode. There ARE pretty smart bots out there, you know. They obviously didn't, but you can't have everything I guess.

Next game on my list will be Doom3 - I want to see if it indeed is a remake of the first Doom... which is probably my most-replayed game ever (say, 40 plus times).

Thief - Deadly Shadows. 2nd time through.

Ninja Gaiden - 2nd time through. This is the greatest action/adventure/ninja game I have EVER played. I am gonna fire up the Hurricane pack as soon as it is on LIVE.

I am annoyed with Bethsoft for not releasing Call of Chthullhu. This game has been in development for 6 million years and apparently it will not see the light of day this year. I have re-read all the Lovecraft Arkham house hardbacks in preperation. Next thing you know they will cancel it.

Next week...and for quite some time it is time to play DOOM3 for PC.

No RPGS ! ( well ...I suppose Spellforce and EVE are sort of )
