DD: Help, stamina consumption in the Cursed Abbey!?!

HEy all
New poster here.
Just bought Divine Divinity and am addicted to it but now I have a major problem

I have the 1.34 English patch and things were pretty much OK but ever since
I entered the Cursed Abbey and let loose a couple death scorpions my
character always automatically gets his stamina drained. This happened with
sleeping too.. the stamina would be renewed after sleeping and promptly
drain to 0.

Is this a bug or is it something on my equipment?

Also, do Death Scorpions drain stamina? I can't seem to get rid of them after
they have done the job!

Thanks and help please!

Drop the weapon that says 'theres something strange about this item' and it will go away.

Also, stop using steel scorpions!!! they are lame!!!!!

The game is easy enough without those things. They are bugged to be too strong.

I'm one of those who doesn't say the game's getting too easy while using these Scorpions : With that high difficulty the game isn't fun to me (in fact there were some situatuions where my char wouldn't have survived without them - especially Josephina - and if a game isn't fun anymore, then I won't play it.

I'm not one of the gamers who are seeking a challenge in a high difficulty level; instead I want fun with a game, and if it's too hard for me, it isn't.

It's called "the Fun Factor".
