BGII - I'm embarrassed to ask this, but; how do you..

Well, for lack of anything good to play, I decided to play Baldur's Gate II again. This time around, I decided to try my hand as a Half-Orc with dual-weapon capabilites. Before, I played a human with Great Sword abilities. Anyway, during the create character section, I chose 3 stars next to two-weapon style, 2 stars next to Katanas and 1 star next to Long Sword. So, after the opening cut scenes Imoen and I enter the room off to the side of the jail cages and load up on weapons and armor. I choose the Katana and Long Sword and place them in my weapon slots. Now comes the embarrassing question, how do I select 2 weapons at once. If I select the Katana and then the Long Sword, the Katana goes away and the long sword is selected. How do I hold two weapons at onc?
Don't say look in the manual, because I haven't seen that thing in over a year.

I think you put the second weapon in the shield slot.

Seriously folks, how do you dual-wield weapons, I have three swords in the weapons slots and if I click on a weapon in the weapons slot, the weapon I am holding goes away. Doesn't two-weapon style mean that I should be able to hold two weapons at a time?

You place the Katana in the weapons slot, and then the Longsword in the shield slot.. and this is serious; that's how to do it.
