Looks like someone did something for it or I have finally reached the mandatory number of pops per ad. At least it doesn't reopen with every page now.

The people who had it showing all the time: Do you have cookies disabled?
They might use cookies to record how many times its been displayed, and if the cookies are disabled that would explain why it never stops.
Other than that I have no idea...

I don't know what the required number of viewings is before it stops, but counting the one I just experienced the number has got to well over 100. While this may seem high, I was playing catch up yesterday, viewing many topics I'd not had a chance to see in the last 3 weeks.
Anyway, it is still there, and just as bothersome as it was yesterday!!
Edit: I forget who mentioned it, but it is now assured that I will NEVER play this game!!!

My apologies for the mess up with the Fable ad. I just checked the ad server and saw that no limitations were entered. I limited the ad views to once per visitor per 30 minutes, so this should end the flood until I check the situation with Jolt. Please let me know if this is better now.

OOOOO, I want to murder that annoying little brat even with the limitation. I think that the ads should be opened in a new window, like the Saga of Ryzom ad, and not in this way. |

I am afraid to report that it does not seem to have helped me at all. Hmm, let me try refreshing the page ... sometimes that does the trick.

I had the bloody thing load up as I went to edit this message ... just minutes after it had appeared after refreshing.

O.K., now this is getting silly. Now I have two ads popping up at the same time. If this is how it is going to be then let us know. May have to check into the no ads program. Is that back up and working or is the don't use paypal still the order of the day right now?
I know Jolt is over this mess, but can't they just tone it down a bit? And the once in 30 min. is not happening for me. I get it about once in ten. Sometimes less, sometimes more.

Now I really am furious. When I posted a little while ago, I hadn't seen this ad for a while, but since then I've been looking on that little brat I am definately going to kill sometime soon like every time open a new topic and decide to reply. |

Lintra, maybe you should change this to New Ads Policy? Then post a poll as to how often we as users would tolerate popups. I have a popup ad now for both Fable and Rysom at the same time. At least we can voice a constructive critizim to them. Might get a few more people to respond as well.

Now I get the Fable and Saga with near every page switch (as it's been for me) and a SECOND Fable ad.
Hmm... I wonder if they're familiar with the concept of 'advertising backlash'.
